Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a free trade agreement between Canada and the EU signed in Brussels on October 30, 2016. It was ratified by Canada on May 17, 2017. As of December 2022, 17 member states have completed the domestic ratification.When fully ratified by all member states of the EU, it will remove 98% of tariffs on imported and exported goods, benefiting people and businesses in both Canada and the EU.
